Given that yesterday was the anniversary of Roe that wasn’t and I’m publishing a pro-abortion deep dive tomorrow, I thought today would be a great day for some affirmations!
So: tell us what you needed to hear before/during/after having an abortion. Tell us what you wished you’d said to your best friend.
I love you if you’ve had abortions - you deserve all the kindness, compassion, support, and love in the world.
PS: you can find all my abortion affirmation videos linked here
Life is a garden of forking paths. You make choices every day that preclude other things from happening. Most of those choices are not right or wrong, they are only what you picked, and tomorrow, there will be more choices to make.
This is a little lacking in pith, but something along the lines of "this doesn't have to be part of your identity. it can just be something that happened."
(I think the hypocrisy of anti-choice women who have/had abortions themselves and continue to challenge freedom of choice for all is a blight, but I believe in a just world where my choice to have an abortion for unwanted pregnancy is no more a core part of my identity than my choice to have lasik to correct unwanted nearsightedness)

This is beautiful!

Thank you so much for highlighting how we all get to determine exactly how our abortions fit in our lives!
"You are not a bad person. Your reasons are good enough. You don't deserve to be punished for this. You are still a good person/friend/daughter/etc."
I love you. I’ve got you.
i'm so proud of you for choosing to do what is best for you.
