court drama about mifepristone (the extremely safe med used in the majority of abortions in the US)

Last week, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals rolled back the FDA’s 2000 approval of mifepristone.
Basically, this decision says that:
1: Mife will only be approved up to 7 weeks of pregnancy (rather than up to the 10 weeks it’s approved to now per a previous 2016 ruling)
2: It will be required to be dispensed in person (rather than through telehealth services/through the mail)
*Important notes*
This is not in effect right now, and will not go into effect until at least next year.
If you need an abortion you can continue to visit www.ineedana.com which is a reliable source for info about accessing care no matter where you’re located in the US.
Abortion pills are and will always be available in our communities, and we will continue to help each other access care regardless of what any court decides (Abortion On Our Own Terms for resources)
Mifepristone is a safe and effective medication, whether it is prescribed via telehealth/sent through the mail or dispensed in a clinic setting (follow @dr.ghazal_moayedi for great info on this and many other aspects of abortion care)
People safely self manage their abortions using mifepristone every day and the primary risk is a legal one, not a medical one (Pregnancy Justice and Repro Legal Defense Fund for legal support)
This ruling is in no way based on the science or health data which we have - it is just about reproductive control and restricting access.
