milk & cookies cookies
makes about 48 cookies
These lil two-bite sized guys taste/feel exactly how dipping a cookie into milk tastes/feels, without having to deal with the pesky glass of milk. They’re simple & good lookin.
for the cookies
2-¼ cups (293g) all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons (13g) dutch process cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup (2 sticks, 227g) room temp unsalted butter
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
½ cup (100g) light brown sugar
1 large egg
2 large egg yolks
2-½ teaspoons vanilla extract
for the glaze
1-½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
3 tablespoons whole milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
the how-to: cookies
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and kosher salt.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium high speed until creamy (about 2 minutes). Beat in the egg, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed. Scrape the bottom of the bowl with a rubber spatula to make sure everything’s all mixed in.
Scoop into 1 tablespoon (20g) balls. Arrange the cookies on a parchment paper lined baking sheet at least 3 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, until set around the edges. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for two minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
the how-to: glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Spoon over the cooled cookies by the scant tablespoonful in a haphazard way that vaguely resembles spilled milk.
Store at room temp in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

I love my You Swim swimsuit - it’s currently the most comfortable piece of clothing I own (I am pregnant).
From our faves INeedAnA & We Testify:
We're approaching one year since the Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health decision overturned Roe v Wade. In response, we are working with We Testify to distribute a one-day-only newspaper proudly declaring that: "We Are Still Having Abortions All Across the Country."
"The Abortion Times" is filled with post-roe stories, comics, support services and much more (even an abortion crossword puzzle). Request your copy today as quantities are limited!
New rom coms revisited (although in this case it’s really a rom dram): The Family Stone
I made a cherry cobbler w/ brown butter & cardamom (adapted from the peach cobbler in Baking by Feel) and wow was it delicious

My partner wanted to make cookies as I was reading this recipe in my email. Currently taste testing the batter 😋
